The Institute for Women’s Policy Research is a hub for information on college access and job training, with a plethora of resources focused on women and the effect of post-secondary education access on their families. IWPR is launching a new series on “the new college majority” – independent students. This briefing paper outlines what we know about their demographic and financial characteristics and also how their outcomes differ from “traditional” students. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon from IWPR on independent students.
If you are interested in parent-students, IWPR has a series called the Student Parent Success Initiative that includes information on student outcomes, benefits access, financial aid, and child care access and affordability.
