This funders guide lays out a plan for a more sustainable, equitable early childhood education and care system. The plan was developed through an intensive facilitated process gathering ideas from parents and providers, particularly in communities of color. Recommendations for funders include to build community power and capacity locally and nationally, to advance state and federal policy advocacy, and to build infrastructure and capacity to connect efforts and create feedback loops. This project was a joint effort between the Heising-Simons Foundation, The Education Trust, and The Bridgespan Group.
